Labeled a BMW M4 SVG run as GPT-6 Sol: about 28k tokens, about 3 minutes, max effort, zero-shot. The post did not explain access to an unreleased model.

Said OpenAI was internally testing GPT-6 Sol after Astra shipped. Outputs were noticeably weaker than Astra, but fast. The same post described a zero-shot sandbox in about 15 minutes and 60k tokens.

Called it fast and short of Astra, and guessed a launch at DevDay on September 29 with better Plus limits. The DevDay date is official. The Sol attachment is not.

OpenAI’s model catalog lists the shipped GPT-6 Astra (gpt-6-astra) and the still-listed GPT-5.6 Sol (gpt-5.6-sol). It has no gpt-6-sol model card, price, or tool list. DevDay on September 29 is an official event. Its agenda does not name Sol.
